The Small Loans for Business (SLB) scheme is designed to help Northwest business owners, entrepreneurs, charities and social enterprises start up and expand their businesses. Over the past two years it has provided small loans of between £3,000 and £50,000 to new and growing businesses and social enterprises. It was set up to encourage and make it easier for more people to access finance, start up and grow their own enterprises in the region.
