New opportunities for advice and support...

The Pennine Lancashire Borough Councils have successfully secured new funding under the Local Enterprise for Growth Initiative (LEGI) "Great Goals" bid. The Digital Development Unit has been awarded responsibility for developing the ICT and Innovation or "Eureka" strand of this initiative. This means that we are now able to support qualifying businesses throughout Pennine Lancashire. Alongside companies based in Blackburn with Darwen, those within Hyndburn, Burnley, and Pendle may now also be eligible for advice, support and funding opportunities. For more information please email us at digital.envoy@blackburn.gov.uk

To reflect this wider geographical remit, we will be rebranding the Blackburn Business Net website and developing an events program featuring new venues and speakers. Subjects being considered for inclusion in this programme are ICT, Digital Marketing, Innovation and Production and Process Technology. If there are any subject areas that you think would be of interest to businesses within Pennine Lancashire please email your thoughts to lee.jorgensen@blackburn.gov.uk .

Help us spread the word...

If you know of a business in the East Lancashire area that may benefit from the comprehensive range of advice and support services that the DDU offers, we would be grateful if you could forward this newsletter on to them.
