A Sign of quality

Sign Options Ltd provide a full turn key service which includes design, procurement and installation for signage at retail parks, shopping centres and multi site PLCs. In order to grow the company they needed to develop better internal and external procedures to give them more control and introduce an accredited ISO 9001 quality management system. The DDU provided some funding for this work to be carried out and the company achieved accreditation in June 2008.

Sign Options Ltd was established in November 2004 by David Lang with help and financial support from the borough’s Get Set programmeDavid has 25 years experience in the sign writing industry and before setting up Sign Options Ltd worked for a sign manufacturing company managing large installation projects in new retail parks and shopping centres.

They normally work for main contractors through architects on new build sites and through facility management companies on rebrand sites. Key clients include King Sturge, Workman, Allen Build of Wigan and Warburton’s Bakery.

Work is sub contracted out for the supply and installation of the signage to an approved list of some 15-20 companies.
