Slater PR Ltd has been operating in Blackburn since 2001 and has grown into one of the leading PR companies in Lancashire. The client identified the need for a web site presence for marketing and credibility purposes but following discussion with the Digital Development Unit, Slater PR identified an opportunity to improve the speed, accuracy and quality of material by using a web presence to deliver client material.
As a result of these discussions Slater PRs' management team decided to invest in an interactive operational web site, which would provide clients with their own secure library and document repository. This would provide a service to clients for work in progress, enabling clients to view, proofread, correct and authorise documents and material.
It would also act as a document/material archiving facility for future use or reference. Slater PR has also identified the need for access to an e-mail marketing tool, which would allow them to market events, distribute material and monitor responses. This would also provide Slater PR with an e-mail campaigning/viral marketing service, which they would resell to clients. The system would also require an events and news module to provide a campaign support system to Slater PR and their clients.
Slater PR developed a fully content managed web site with secure registration and extranet login capabilities. The supplier had quoted for a fully content managed system web site with multi-level access permissions for Slater PR staff, client’s staff and managers.
