Arthur Padgett & Sons are a long-established successful family-run plumbing business based in Nelson. The company is in its third generation of Padgetts and have expanded the business considerably over recent years. They are forward looking, having invested in computer systems for the office to give better control. They turned to the DDU for help in two areas – an up to date web presence with two websites and also a diary / database system with integration to their accounting system.
The DDU was able to provide advice, guidance, help with suppliers and funding for the project, which has moved their business forward from a marketing point of view and given them much better control of their jobs, quotations and invoicing. In addition, their new “Green Heating” website puts them in the forefront of ecological heating for homes and businesses.
The “Green Heating” website covers Solar Water Heating, Air Pumps, Ground Pumps, Biomass Boilers and Under Floor Heating. The two web sites are linked, providing two distinct means of being found on the Internet.
