Orders away for Linzi Jay

Linzi Jay, bridal accessories and special occasion gown manufacturers, have been assisted by the DDU to introduce technology that has helped to improve their ordering systems and overall business performance

Linzi Jay was established by Neil Flatley in 1995.The company moved to its current premises on Shadsworth Business Park in 2001and has a small manufacturing unit in Lincoln.

Their core business is supplying bridal accessories and special occasion gowns to both UK and European markets. In the UK which accounts for about 75% of turnover, this is through independent retailers and some well known high street retailers for example House of Fraser.

The market is becoming much more competitive as more companies are entering the market particularly through on line direct retailing.

Neil has responded to these challenges by taking a long hard look at how the business operates and talking to customers about customer service issues. The problem areas were identified and Neil believed that by addressing these issues the company could grow from its current position.

The DDU has been involved in putting together a strategy with Neil for overcoming these issues and helping him to introduce new technology to streamline and improve the order processing system. The project was completed March 2008.
